We are talking about Anupam Kher. He made his acting debut with Saaransh in 1994. The movie was directed by Mahesh Bhatt and Anupam Kher was loved for his performance. This movie became a good start for his career. He has now done around 540 films across all languages in his career. Until now, he won two National film awards and eight Filmfare awards.
He has also been honoured with the Padma Shri in 2004 and Padma Bhushan in 2016 for his contribution to the field of Indian cinema and arts. As per reports, Anupam Kher‘s net worth is Rs 405 crore rupees. He also does a lot of business and he also owns luxurious cars like BMW and Scorpio.
He is a big name in the entertainment industry but still has been living a rented apartment. He spoke to Curly Tales and said that he lives in a rented house because he does not want to own one. He feels for whom should he earn and hence he pays the rent and lives. He believes that the money one will use for buying a house can be used for rent and be kept in banks.
He added that he would rather spend that money on charity and do something more productive. However, he bought a 8 room lavish house for his mother. He said that once he asked his mother what she wants as he is a big star and she asked him for a house in Shimla.
He shared, “I asked her why because we didn’t live there after my father’s death, but she lived in a rented house all her life there, hence wanted one of her own.” Anupam Kher is married to Kirron Kher and he was recently seen in Vijay 69. He was loved and appreciated for his movie.
