Travis Kelce refuses to watch a Taylor Swift Christmas favorite: ‘Don’t f–king torture me’
Travis Kelce has no interest in watching “Love Actually.”
The hit Christmas movie from 2003 starring an ensemble cast that includes Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson and Alan Rickman is one of the football star’s girlfriend’s favorite movies.
Taylor Swift has been a known fan of the Christmas movie, but when the idea of watching the film was brought up on the latest “New Heights” podcast, Kelce shot down the idea of watching it.
The topic was broached when Jason Kelce’s wife Kylie made a brief cameo and recommended “Love Actually” for their move club.
“‘Love Actually’ is a tremendous movie that you can really sit down with your significant others and enjoy because it’s not like one of your significant others hasn’t asked you to watch it multiple times and you said no every time,” Kylie Kelce said, seeming to refer to Jason. “So this would be a great excuse to get you to watch it.”
The movie didn’t ring a bell with Travis Kelce at first as he rhetorically asks “Love Actually?” before picking up his phone to Google it.
He seemed to want to get out of watching the movie after Jason proposed the idea that instead of Kyle coming on their show after the brothers watched it, he would come on her podcast if she reviewed it there.
“Yeah, don’t f–kng torture me; torture your husband,’ Travis Kelce responded. “I’m an innocent bystander here, Ky. Don’t f–king come for me.”
The disdain for the holiday favorite didn’t seem to stop at just the younger Kelce brother.
Jason also balked at the idea.
“I think we can both probably agree we’re not doing ‘Love Actually,’” Jason Kelce said.
While “Love Actually” may not make it on the TV at either of the Kelce homes, it’s unclear if another will be watched in either household.
Hallmark’s Christmas movie that borrows inspiration from Swift and Kelce’s romance debuted over the weekend to high ratings, according to Awful Announcing.
“Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” premiered on the network to 2..88 million viewers on Saturday night.
While the film isn’t about a football player and singer, Donna Kelce and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid both make cameos in the movie.
“I didn’t have a real big part in it, thank goodness, or the movie probably wouldn’t have been as good as it was, so that’s a good thing, but I enjoyed the people with Hallmark,“ Reid told reporters earlier this week.
