Slash pays tribute to late stepdaughter Lucy Bleu-Knight on what would have been her 26th birthday: ‘Miss you so much it’s indescribable’
Rocker Slash has paid tribute to his late stepdaughter Lucy Bleu-Knight, who died on July 19.
The Guns N’ Roses guitarist, whose real name is Saul Hudson, 59, shared a touching message to Lucy who would have turned 26 on Saturday.
“Happy Birthday dearest Lucy. We celebrate today what would have been your 26th year in our hearts,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

He added: “We miss you so much it’s indescribable. Love you forever. iiii]; ).”
In the post, he added a picture of Lucy holding a cat and a picture of him and Lucy together.
Her mother, Slash’s partner Meegan Hodges, also shared her own heartbreaking tribute alongside pictures of her late daughter from her childhood.
She also commented on Slash’s post, writing: “I miss your laugh Lucy-Bleu!”
“Today is your Birthday Lucy-Bleu! You would of turned 26. #forever25 missing you is the hardest thing I’ll ever do,” she wrote.
“We are going as a family to celebrate your life in full Lucy style! I hope you know how proud I am of all you have done in this world before you left it.
“You have left such a beautiful mark here and it has not gone in noticed. ✨✨✨✨✨💙Happy Birthday my beautiful girl. 💕.”

On July 22, Slash shared a heartbreaking statement confirming news of her death and asking for privacy as the family grieve. It said that she “passed away peacefully in Los Angeles”.

“Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul,” the statement read.
“The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.”
Slash and Hodges dated in the late ’80s, but rekindled their romance in 2015 after his split from Perla Ferrar, who he shares two sons with.
He shared a follow up statement on July 28, saying he would love Lucy “eternally”.
“My heart is permanently fractured. I will never ever stop missing you & remembering what a beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity & beauty you have always been. & still are,” he wrote.
“The brightest light in the lives of so many that loved you so much. I find solace in the hope that you are at peace now.”
Following the news he cancelled several of his tour dates, but recently returned to the stage.
It’s been reported that she died by suicide.
