ERICA MENA AND KIDS ATTEND ‘ADOPTED’ SCREENING
Erica Mena made a glamorous appearance at the Tubi screening of Adopted on Sunday, accompanied by her two children, Safire and Legend, whom she shares with Safaree. The trio hit the red carpet together, posing for a few photos that Mena later shared on Instagram with a caption that read:
“Due to the Real TRUTH, I don’t even want the apology that I’m owed. But I’m damn sure taking my respect.”
While Mena didn’t elaborate further, many speculated that her pointed words were aimed at Safaree, who recently admitted in an interview with Keyshia Ka’oir that he hasn’t physically seen his kids in four months.
During the interview, Safaree revealed the emotional toll of being separated from his children, explaining that he sometimes communicates with them via their iPads.
“Of course it bothers me, but I have to be strong,” Safaree shared. “I know it’s not going to be like this forever.”
He expressed his desire to spend more time with Safire and Legend, saying, “When my daughter calls me, I’m like, ‘Okay, cool. I do want to see y’all.’ I’ll bring them to point A, and I have no problem going there. But I’m not going anywhere near there without a transfer. You know what I’m saying? So, I’m still trying to get that figured out.”
Safaree also touched on the challenges of arranging international trips with his kids, noting the difficulty in obtaining their passports.
“I want to take them to the park. I want to take them to Jamaica and not have to explain anything to anybody,” he said. “But that’s why everything’s gotta go through the courts right now.”
Adopted is a Tubi film about a boy named Dylan, played by Jayden Aguirre, who is searching for a family to call his own. The movie promises plenty of suspense as Dylan’s journey takes unexpected twists.
Adopted also stars Drew Sidora and Danny Jay and will debut exclusively on Tubi on December 20, 2024.
