Kim Kardashian’s Luxury Collaborations Have Taken SKIMS to Fashion Heights
Since launching her SKIMS brand in 2018, Kim Kardashian has taken the world of shapewear to new heights. She has introduced an array of products, such as pajamas, dresses, and even men’s undergarments. Part of the SKIMS success story stems from Kardashian’s dedication to collaboration, several of which have been in the luxury realm.
While we’ve witnessed SKIMS team up with Team USA and the WNBA, her partnership with fashion houses sets the brand apart. This was first made evident in November 2021 when Kardashian announced that SKIMS and Fendi had come together for a limited-edition line that merged the famous F’s with top-quality shapewear. The result was stunning bodysuits, jumpsuits, tops, and leggings with a unique Fendi logo covering each piece. Much of the drop sold out within 24 hours of release, prompting Kardashian to introduce a second release in early December, which also didn’t last long online. Items in this assemblage were priced between $100 and $4,200.
November 2023 saw SKIMS elevate luxury to dazzling new heights with the launch of its Swarovski clothing. This opulent collection showcased crystal-studded shapewear, intimate apparel, and ready-to-wear designs. Swarovski’s Millenia jewelry collection inspired each piece, and body jewelry was a staple within the line. Like the Fendi release, the bedazzled garments were a hit among shoppers.
Now, with the latest SKIMS and Dolce & Gabbana merger, it’s likely Kardashian will have another slam dunk on her hands. The capsule captures the essence of vintage Dolce & Gabbana with sexy cheetah prints and lace garments. This latest SKIMS spin will be available on November 19th, and like its predecessors, these latest extravagant designs are sure to sell out.
