This actress reportedly quit Bollywood after delivering 11 flops despite starring with biggies like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and many more.
We are talking about Suman Ranganathan. She was one popular face back in the 90s. The actress marked her Bollywood debut with the movie Fareb. Before that, she had already made a place for herself in the Kannada and Telugu film industry. Her acting career began with a Kannada film C.B.I. Shankar in 1989. Years later, in 1996 came Fareb. As per reports it was a box office success. She was a part of Aa Ab Laut Chalen with Akshaye Khanna and Aishwarya Rai. Suman Ranganathan then featured in films like Bobby Deol’s Badal, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam starring Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit and more. Her last Hindi film was Baghban. She played the role of Amitabh Bachchan‘s daughter-in-law in the movie that also starred Salman Khan. However, after Baghban, Suman Ranganathan quit Bollywood. She did not feature in a Hindi film hereafter but she did not give up on acting. Even now, she is pretty active in South cinema and making to entertainment news.
In 2023, Suman Ranganathan was seen in Kannada movie Thothapuri: Chapter 2. She played the role of Victoria. As per a report in News18, she also works as a counsellor. Her personal life too kept her in news for sometime. She was reportedly married to Bunty Walia but they split in 2007.
