AICWA makes BIG statement on death of lightman at set of Rupali Ganguly’s show, shooting to be….

Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna starrer Anupamaa is everywhere in the news. People are only talking about the show and the negative stories around it. Recently, we have heard that a lightman lost his life on the sets of the show. Reports said that he was doing some technical work and touched the electric wires after which he got shock. He was taken to the hospital but he died while being treated. However, it was being said that the makers of Anupamaa are not ready to reveal anything about it and are trying to suppress the matter. Anupamaa shooting to be suspended?

The President of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), B.N Tiwari said that they are investigating in this matter and the makers are not ready to reveal the identity of the deceased. AICWA President Suresh Gupta spoke to Zoom TV and said that production house have been trying to suppress the matter and wrong news is being spread. He also said that these things happen because production houses and channels don’t provide enough safety precautions to save a few pennies. Now, All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) claim that this was not an accident but an ‘institutionalised murder’ due to the negligence of the producers. Suresh Gupta has written to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde about this and demanded for strict actions. He further shared that even after the person lost his life, the shooting continued until midnight. The makers even started the next day shift on time and ignored the seriousness of the situation.

He also wrote in the letter, “The hazardous conditions on sets, perpetuated by the use of old, damaged, and poorly insulated electric wires patched with plastic tape, created a death trap for workers.” They have made an appeal to the CM to file an FIR under IPC Section 302 against the producers, the production house, the channel, the Film City managing director, and the Labour Commissioner. They have also asked for Rs 1 crore compensation to be provided to the family of the deceased. He have also demanded to suspend the shooting activities on the set of Anupamaa and other associated productions until a thorough investigation is completed.
