Audemars Piguet and KAWS’ Limited-Edition Timepiece Will Set You Back Over $200K
Audemars Piguet has unveiled a new collaboration with world-renowned artist KAWS.
Together, these two powerhouses are spotlighting the new Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon COMPANION. This limited-edition timepiece, priced at roughly $226,644, seamlessly merges the Swiss watchmaker’s tradition of excellence with KAWS’ unique artistic vision.
The 43 mm Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon features KAWS’ iconic COMPANION figure prominently displayed beneath a sapphire crystal. Limited to just 250 pieces, KAWS’ creative touch extends beyond the watch. As part of the collaboration, a massive 33-foot sculpture of the COMPANION has been installed atop Audemars Piguet’s headquarters in Le Brassus, Switzerland. This striking artwork, unveiled at a private event attended by celebrities including Mark Ronson, J Balvin, and Romeo Beckham, will remain on display until December 20th, 2024.
“Whether on the wrist or towering over the Vallée de Joux, KAWS’ COMPANION invites collectors and enthusiasts to reimagine the role of fine watchmaking in today’s world,” says Audemars Piguet.
KAWS, whose real name is Brian Donnelly, shared the exciting collaboration on Instagram days after it was teased. He also shared the massive COMPANION statue.
Audemars Piguet does not collaborate with just any brand, so having KAWS onboard only adds to their list of ultra-exclusive partnerships. Last year, the watch line partnered with producer and rapper Travis Scott. Just last week, Tom Brady was spotted rocking a $700,000 piece from that collaboration.
