Abhishek Bachchan’s I Want To Talk marginally ahead of decade-old Ajay Devgn’s Naam at box office

On November 22, I Want to Talk and Naam released in theatres. The former is directed by Shoojit Sircar and stars Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role. It received immense positive reviews from the critics. On the other hand, the latter stars Ajay Devgn and has finally hit theatres after a decade-long delay. Naam received mostly negative reviews from the critics.

I Want to Talk and Naam Box Office Collection Day 2

On day 1 of its release, Abhishek Bachchan I Want to Talk earned only Rs 0.22 crore at the Indian box office. The Day 2 figures are now out and they are better than the first day. The Shoojit Sircar-directed film earned Rs 0.44 crore on its second day. It brings the total box office collection of the slice-of-life film to Rs 0.69 crore.

On the other hand, as reported by the Sacnilk entertainment news portal, Ajay Devgn’s Naam is also struggling at the box office. The thriller film earned Rs 0.22 crore on its first day and its day 2 box office collection is Rs 0.20 crore. Thus, the total collection is now Rs 0.42 crore, approximately, so far.

While Abhishek Bachchan’s film is marginally ahead of Ajay Devgn’s Naam, it is still not outstanding considering the buzz and the positive reviews it has received. Only time will tell what changes we will see in the box office collections of both of these movies. There’s another film that’s running in theatres currently and it is Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan’s 1995 revenge thriller Karan Arjun.

The year 2024 has witnessed a lot of re-releases and Karan Arjun is one of them. Some of these re-releases have managed to surpass their previous box office collection and even left behind the releases of this year. It would be interesting to see if SRK and Salman’s movie affect Abhishek and Ajay’s movie in the coming days.
