Hollyoaks star Ali Bastian suffers medical emergency amid cancer battle
British TV star Ali Bastian has suffered a medical emergency amid her ongoing cancer treatment.
Bastian, 42, was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer in June. She discovered a lump while breastfeeding her daughter.
The actress shared her latest health news on her Instagram Stories on Monday.

“Thank you so much to all at Cork University Hospital A & E for taking care of me this weekend,” she captioned a photo showing her outdoors and rugged up.
“Back home now getting some fresh air and some rest,” she added.

Bastian is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment and then a mastectomy and radiotherapy.
In a recent post the actress cut her hair short in preparation for hair loss she may experience during chemotherapy.
“When you have breast cancer, every month is breast cancer awareness month,” she wrote in October. “Hair loss is just one aspect of all of this that we all wish wasn’t a side effect but I know it’s not forever and a small price to pay for the chance to be well again.

“The deeper I get into my treatment, the more I see this as an outward expression of how stripped back and raw it feels right now,” Bastian continued.
She ended her post by saying: “Also sharing as this feels like part of my way… not ‘back’ to myself… as I will be forever changed… but forward towards my future…to show up as I am right now. In the truth of today. For all of the warrior women going through this. You are not alone.”

She now sports a wig or one of several beanies in her social media posts.
Bastian starred in Hollyoaks playing Becca Dean from 2001 until 2007. Since then she has featured in several hit TV shows including The Bill and Strictly Come Dancing.
She is married actor and producer David O’Mahony in 2019 and the are parents to Isla, four, and Charlotte, one.
