How was it playing your character in The Day Before Christmas, and was there anything challenging about it?
It was an absolute joy playing the role of Imani. Candace Maxwell, who played my mother Nia, made it an absolute joy. I had fun everyday on set with Finn Maloney, who played Bryce.
What was it like working with Candace Maxwell and Wilds? Did anything funny or surprising happen while filming?
Tristan Wilds was funny. He’d come in singing Christmas songs and was totally in the Christmas spirit each day. Candace Maxwell and I clicked immediately. [We] had tons in common and had a blast practicing our lines together. Casting did such an amazing job pairing us.
The movie is all about family and holiday chaos. What do you hope people take away from watching it?
I hope that people realize that holidays are truly about enjoying time together, creating memories, and being there to help others in need.
Does the story remind you of any funny holiday moments or family traditions of your own?
Definitely being in the kitchen with my mom during the holidays too. Again, it’s all about those special moments with those that we love!
What’s the one thing you’re most excited for viewers to see in The Day Before Christmas, and why should they watch it on November 28?
I’m most excited about the silliness in the movie. You will definitely have a few laughs with your family. Very heartwarming and romantic too!
What’s next for you? What projects are you currently working on?
Right now I’m working on trying to lock in another big role in a feature film or series regular, [and] perfecting my craft with my acting coaches. 2025 is my year , baby!
How old are you? What would you like to tell us about yourself? What do you think the readers should know?
I’m from Atlanta, GA, [and] I’ve been modeling since I was 5. I started acting when I was 8 and loved it ever since. I’m also a cheerleader and love a variety of sports. I’m the middle child of five kids—two brothers and two sisters. My passion is the entertainment world, and I hope to one day work with Zendaya!”
