‘Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal haunts even now,’ Ram Gopal Varma tells Sandeep Reddy Vanga over violence in his movie

It has become the most discussed movie of the past few years. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri. RGV on Animal movie

Just like the audience, several actors and directors also have thoughts on Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. Ram Gopal Varma has shared his thoughts on Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film. In fact, the Satya director shared his views with Sandeep himself during a chat for the Animal vs. Wild Animal event. RGV first talked about violence in movies, saying that it was more impactful than seeing armies fighting each other. Varma recalled narrating Shiva to Nagarjuna when the actor was filming Agni Putrudu. Ram Gopal Varma told the South Star that the violence in Shiva would be grittier than just bomb explosions and knives used as weapons. He even talked about a scene in which Naresh walks out of a theatre in darkness, and the cold-bloodedness of him being hit from behind is quite effective. Further in this entertainment news, Ram Gopal Varma told Sandeep Reddy Vanga, “I felt the same thing with Ranbir’s scenes in Animal, especially the low angle shot. It haunts me even now. I never see anger in you. Maybe you reserve it for your characters, or you are acting like you don’t have that rage, or you are just different from the characters you create.”

Meanwhile, Javed Akhtar recently reacted to the Ranbir Kapoor film again. The writer-lyricist stated that people who made animals are ‘pervets’. At IFFI 2024, Ranbir was asked about the influence of such movies, and while he agreed that actors have to be responsible, he also talked about the creative freedom as an actor to do diverse roles. Meanwhile, Kapoor and Vanga will reunite for the sequel of their 2023 blockbuster film titled Animal Park.
