Arizona Man Arrested for Posting Videos Threatening to Kill Donald Trump and His Family

Donald Trump has been the target of another plot in his life.

According to CNN, an Arizona man, Manuel Tamayo-Torres, was arrested Monday for allegedly threatening to kill the President-elect in a chilling series of Facebook videos. In one of the videos, Tamayo-Torres reportedly held up “what appears to be a white AR-15-style rifle with a 30-round magazine inserted into it,” according to court documents.

In these deeply disturbing videos, Tamayo-Torres made multiple threats, specifically targeting Trump and his family. One clip included the horrifying statement: “[Individual 1] you’re gonna die, [Individual 1], your son’s gonna die. Your whole family is going to die, [Individual 1]. This is reality now for you. This is the only reality you have in your future, [Individual 1], dying.” The court documents, while referring to Trump as “Individual 1,” unmistakably describe him as a public figure, former president, and current President-elect.

Adding another layer of alarm, Tamayo-Torres posted a video on August 23rd from Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, where Trump had held a rally earlier that day. During the event, Trump addressed the very topic of assassination attempts, announcing plans for an independent commission to investigate such incidents.

This isn’t the first concern surrounding Tamayo-Torres. He also faces multiple charges for making false statements on federal forms while attempting to purchase firearms last year. It’s unclear if Tamayo-Torres or what drove him to make the threats. However, it follows several other plots on Trump’s life, including an alleged shooting on July 13th, where Trump claimed to have been struck in the ear.
