Pop superstar gifts NFL coach homemade present to celebrate win
It looks like a normal box of baked goods, but one detail in the corner proves otherwise.
To celebrate a game win, Kansas City Chiefs coach David Merritt got a special homemade gift with a personal message from one very famous superstar.
Any guesses who?
The NFL coach shared he was given homemade pop tarts from none other than pop sensation Taylor Swift, who is of course dating Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

“Taylor Swift baked homemade victory Pop Tarts me!” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
The signature Pop-Tarts in question had sprinkles scattered over the top.
The singer is well-known for her baking, whether it be her viral chai cookies, cinnamon rolls, or the Pop-Tarts she made for her boyfriend’s teammates throughout the season.
But apparently, Merritt did not get the memo that Swift regularly gifts her Pop-Tarts. Instead, the coach had to find out he wasn’t the only one from his wife.

Yolonda Merritt said, “She’s done it all season for different people Dave” 🤦🏽♂️ I thought I was SPECIAL 🤦🏽♂️😝🤣” he said.
“Sweet young woman regardless!” he concluded with praise for the star.
Even though the singer has cooked for the Chiefs before, she did make sure to personalise Merritt’s gift with a handwritten message on the top of the box.

“Victory pop tarts,” she wrote in all capital letters in black marker. “Congratulations!”
Swift then sweetly signed off, “Love, Taylor” with her signature.
Earlier in the year, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid revealed Swift had been baking her signature Pop-Tarts for the offensive line throughout the season.
Reid told NBC analyst Chris Simms, “behind the scenes, she likes to cook.”
The pop star has been a frequent attendee at the Chiefs games since she went public with her and Kelce’s relationship in September 2023.
Most recently Swift cheered on her boyfriend at the Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos game on November 10 wearing a red plaid Versace suit.
Swift is currently on her global sold-out Eras Tour, which has just three more shows in Vancouver before it wraps up on December 8.
