Abhijeet Bhattacharya on Dua Lipa
After Dua Lipa’s performance, Abhijeet Bhattacharya’s son Jay called out how his father wasn’t given the credit. In an interview with News18 Showsha, Abhijeet has reacted to the same. Bhattacharya questioned if Dua sang or performed the song and how she doesn’t know a singer and the person who acts in the music video are different. Further, about the fans between his and Shah Rukh Khan’s fans, he said that he is also a fan and a critic.
Abhijeet called himself the biggest fan of SRK and said, just like the actor, even he should get the credit for the song. “People are fighting among themselves. Someone is loyal to me; someone is loyal to him (SRK), but we don’t care. I am very happy that the song is going very well. We do not care if we are getting credit or not; people are at least listening to our song.”
Further, Abhijeet Bhattacharya stated that Dua Lipa should’ve also given credit to the singers of Woh Ladki. He believes composer Anu Malik and writer Javed Akhtar should also get the credit as they created this song. “To be very frank, I don’t care who is Dua Lipa. She can take my name or not but when she performed it on stage, I was flooded with all the calls. People heard it. She cannot even name anyone; her pronunciation would be wrong. What difference does it make? On the contrary, it made the song even more popular. It was popular before and it is popular even today,” said the singer.
