Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly‘s personal life has been the hot topic in the entertainment industry. She is married to Ashwin Verma and her stepdaughter, Esha Verma recently made serious allegations against her. She said that Rupali is an abusive and toxic woman who broke their family. Ashwin is married twice before he married Rupali and Esha is his second wife, Priyanka Verma’s daughter. Esha said that Rupali used to give strange medications to Ashwin and even stole Priyanka’s jewellery. She also said that Ashwin and Rupali are bullies and they made fun of her mental health. Esha even went on to say that Rudransh Verma is Ashwin and Rupali’s illegitimate son. Post this, Rupali lost her cool.
She filed a Rs 50 crore defamation case against Esha. Esha then made her Instagram private and even deleted posts related to the Anupamaa actress. Amidst this, Rupali’s old interview about her relationship with Ashwin has gone viral. Rupali spoke to Mashable India a few months ago where she shared about her and Ashwin’s love story.
Rupali and Ashwin’s love story
She revealed how Ashwin fell in love with her. She shared that she had left work at that time and had joined a catering college. She said that she was so disillusioned with the film industry and then joined catering college when she was very young.
Ashwin had come to make an ad film and when Rupali Ganguly came out as a 60-year-old with white hair and everything, the first line Ashwin said was, ‘I wouldn’t mind getting old with someone like you.’ Then the story began and Rupali shared that it was love at first sight for Ashwin. She revealed that they never had a proposal but they just became friends and had a long distance relationship.
Soon, they registered their marriage and decided to be together. Rupali was doing the TV show, Parvarrish when her wedding date was finalised. She just took one day off for her wedding.
