Apple Martin makes society debut at Le Bal des Débutantes in Valentino dress that took 750 hours to make
Apple Martin has made her official entry into society at Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris wearing a Valentino gown that took 750 hours to make.
The 20-year-old wore a stunning six-dégradé-tier dress made of a light blue silk plissé chiffon material – cinched at the waist with a black silk bow – created especially by Alessandro Michele, the creative director of Valentino. She topped off the look with Valentino sandals in a matching shade of blue.
The daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, Apple was supported by her parents and her brother Moses last night, with the entire family decked out in Valentino for the occasion.

Paltrow wore a gown from Valentino’s spring 2025 collection, while Chris Moses wore custom Valentino tuxes.
The Iron Man actress posted about her daughter with pride, sharing the images of her getting fitted in the dress to her Instagram stories.
“My beautiful daughter in @maisonvalentino,” Paltrow wrote alongside the black-and-white snaps.

Le Bal des Débutantes is a debutante ball in Paris that was founded by Ophélie Renouard in 1994, raising money for young women and creating “unforgettable moment of their couture and media premières,” according to its website.
“Le Bal”, as it is known, was based on the 18th-century English tradition of the débutante ball, and sees about 20 women between the ages of 16 and 22 debuting into society.
Apple is not the only celebrity kid to undergo the tradition, with Lily Collins and Margaret Qualley also taking part in recent years.
The 20-year-old recently left the nest, attending Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennesee, as a third-year student.
