Beyoncé and Jay-Z All Smiles at the ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ Premiere

Beyoncé and Jay-Z popped out in good spirits Monday night.

The Carters celebrated their daughter, Blue Ivy, at the premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. In a touching video shared online, the Grammy-award-winning couple was seen cheering on Blue as she shined on the red carpet in a strapless metallic gold dress. Mama Tina was also in attendance and added some necessary grandma care by fixing Blue’s outfit while she posed.

Another tear-jerking moment from the night was Jay Z getting caught being emotional on camera while he watched his daughter enjoy her time in the spotlight. Of course, we couldn’t forget about Queen Bey, who sported a strapless gown with a thigh-high slit. She later shared a sweet message to Blue via Instagram, writing, “My gorgeous baby girl. This is your night. You worked hard and you did such a beautiful job as the voice of Kiara. Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining.”

The Carter’s night out comes just hours after Jay Z made headlines after being named in a lawsuit regarding a teenage girl alongside Diddy. According to the suit, an alleged assault against a teenage girl occurred at a VMAs afterparty in 2000, with Diddy and Jay Z being involved. Shortly after, Hov released a statement denying the allegations and calling them “heinous.”

“My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions,” he wrote. “Malice meant to destroy families and human spirit.”
