Cameron McEvoy engaged: Aussie swimmer announces his engagement after Paris Olympics
Aussie swimmer Cameron McEvoy is engaged!
The Olympian, 30, announced on Instagram on Monday that he recently proposed to girlfriend Madeline Bone.
“I’ve achieved some pretty big things this year but I think I just achieved my greatest one 💍,” he sweetly wrote in his caption after the proposal.

“What a way to end 2024 ❤️,” he added.
In the images, the pair gaze affectionately at one another as Bone shows off her unique diamond ring.
In another image, the pair pose up for a selfie.
She also shared a close up of her engagement ring, revealing it features two different stones and smaller diamonds on the band.
“You and me <3,” she captioned her post.

It remains unclear exactly how long the pair have been dating, but they have been together since at least 2021.
In August, after the Olympic Games Paris 2024, Bone shared a sweet tribute to the swimmer after his success at the competition and said he is “her champion”.

“Cam’s unrelenting self belief that he could do this, regardless of the uncertainty that he has faced over the years, is beyond inspiring.

McEvoy, who hails from the Gold Coast, has competed for Australia in four Olympic Games; London, Rio, Tokyo and Paris.
According to Olympics.com.au, he is “the first Australian male swimmer to go to four Olympics”.
More recently in Paris, he took home a gold medal for Australia for the 50m freestyle.

Reflecting on his incredible win, he wrote on Instagram: “OLYMPIC CHAMPION!!! 🥇Still processing the magnitude of these last few years. There isn’t much to say really. I put my heart and soul on the line.”

He also thanked his then-girlfriend for her support over the years.

“Only she knows just how hard this has been and how much effort that went into this gold medal.
