Emma Lawrence baby: Nine sports reporter announces the birth of her first child, daughter Harper Rose
It’s a girl for Nine sports reporter Emma Lawrence and her producer partner, Thomas Blucher-Hughes.
The couple announced the birth of daughter Harper Rose Hughes on Friday, revealing they welcomed their first child together at the end of last month.
“Welcome to the world Harper Rose Hughes🌹💖 28.11.24 ❤️,” their post read.

“Mum and Dad could not be more in love. Can’t wait to do life with you 😘,” they sweetly added.
Rugby league player Billy Walters commented underneath, “Congrats guys!”
“Yay! Well done mama she’s a beauty x,” Nine’s Mia Glover added.
Todd Woodbridge added, ”Absolutely beautiful congratulations you guys.”

Her brother Chris Lawrence, former professional rugby league footballer and West Tigers star commented a series of love hearts underneath the post about his new niece.
In their post, the proud new parents shared a series of images of their newborn in hospital and while out and about on family outings with the pram.
They revealed they welcomed their tiny tot at Mater Hospital in North Sydney.
Just three weeks ago, the couple celebrated their baby shower with a jungle-themed party. One sign read: “It’s about to get wild!”

“Feeling so blessed to have the most incredible family and friends to help celebrate the arrival of Baby Hughes 💖💙 Love you all! Xx,” Lawrence captioned one post.
In June, the pair announced their pregnancy.
“Off-season about to get busy! We can’t wait to meet you little one 🤍🖤,” they wrote, sharing their sonogram images.
Before going on maternity leave, Lawrence shared a snap of herself alongside Nine News Sydney presenter Peter Overton and wrote, “Four years at @9newssydney and tonight was only the second time I got to sit alongside the great Pete Overton ⭐️ What a treat before I head off on maternity leave.”

She previously shared a sweet birthday tribute to her partner, writing: “Happy birthday to the biggest maniac I’ve ever met ❤️ Don’t know what I’d do without you. Love you.”
Lawrence, who also works for Triple M, previously spoke about her love of the game and NRL in a piece for NRL.com, describing her job as “the best job in the world”.
“It’s part of my DNA. Six of my relatives played for South Sydney and of course, my brother Chris played for the Wests Tigers,” she penned in the piece.

“As for being a female working in the game, no one has ever made me feel like I don’t belong,” she added.
She added that she always tries “to get the best out of the talent” during her interviews.
Lawrence joined Nine back in 2021.
