Erin Lichy pregnant: Real Housewives of New York City star expecting fourth child

The Real Housewives of New York City star Erin Lichy is expecting her fourth child with husband Abe Lichy.

The reality star shared the happy news exclusively with PEOPLE, admitting she delayed the announcement due to the election in the US.

“It feels like adding another act to the circus!” the 37-year-old said.

“Work and life have been so busy that I haven’t really had a chance to even think about how it’ll change things, but I think it will be pretty seamless to be honest.

“Three vs. four kids doesn’t seem so scary.”

Erin says she got a feeling she was pregnant while travelling with her family.

“I was out East with Abe and some friends when I suddenly became super sensitive to smells around me,” she said.

“That’s when I knew – I thought: ‘Damn. Here we go again!'”

The reality star lost her father on October 1 but says she took comfort in the fact he knew about the pregnancy before his death.

“Been a rollercoaster past few months to say the least, but so happy my dad knew about this,” she said on Instagram Stories.

“He was so proud and happy.”

Erin and Abe have been married since 2012 and are parents to Levi, nine, Layla, seven and Elijah, four.

Erin told PEOPLE she experienced morning sickness for the first 10 weeks but has been feeling “not so bad” since then.

Her pregnancy cravings have included Pinkberry and Greek yoghurt, Italian food and French fries.

While she and Abe plan to find out the sex of their pending arrival, they don’t plan to share it. Although they have been discussing names, but “haven’t landed on anything just yet.”

Erin and Abe Lichy experienced a rough patch in their relationship on the most recent season of The Real Housewives of New York City.

It was revealed Abe had secretly sold their crypto investment.

“There were some decisions that Abe made without discussing it with me,” she explained to producers of the show.

“But the problem was that the truth came out right in the middle of me dealing with my mom and everything that we’re going through, so I wasn’t able to lean on him because he betrayed me and I was furious with him and it just added so much more stress,” she explained.

“I just needed him to be there for me this time, like with everything with my mom, and he just, like, piled it on. All this sh-t that like I didn’t know about,” Erin continued.

“Bitcoin was high and I thought it was a good time to pay off a large chunk of our mortgage,” she told producers.

“I was just excited to log into my account and see how much it had grown and then I go and see that it’s gone, so, shock. Major shock. And he sold it when it was much lower than it is now, so of course, I was very angry. You don’t do that without having a discussion, that’s what bothered me.”

The couple filmed a scene in a restaurant for the show, discussing their issues.

“The worst part was that you had sold it years ago and that’s what was so upsetting,” Erin told Abe.

“You f-cked up and then that spiraled into learning all the other sh-t that you’ve been hiding from me.”

She also explained the couple had “some other bills” from a former handbag business she believed had been paid but still hadn’t been resolved.

They have since resolved their differences and are now in an “open and honest relationship” Abe told the Virtual Reali-Tea podcast.
