‘I feel this pressure not to fail’: Ray Romano’s twin son reveals what it’s like trying to follow in his famous footsteps
Ray Romano’s twin sons have opened up in a candid new documentary about what it’s like being the children of a famous parent.
His sons Gregory and Matthew, 31, who are two of his four kids, star in the documentary Romano Twins, which focuses on them trying to explore their “individuality” and Greg trying to do comedy and stand up shows like his father.
Ray Romano, known for his hit show Everybody Loves Raymond, makes an appearance in the documentary, hilariously joking: “I am the alleged father of the twins.”

“I get a little joy when one orders something different from the other,” he adds.
And now the twins, who are the spitting image of their dad, have spoken to People about their life and Greg has spoken about trying to follow in his father’s footsteps as a stand-up comedian.
He admitted to the publication that he fees ”pressure not to fail”.
“I put too much pressure on myself, and I think that could be a universal feeling no matter how you grew up – people don’t like to fail. I feel this pressure not to fail,” Greg said.

Ray added that he feels for his son and knows how hard it is to make it in the comedy industry.
“You see him go to these horrible dives to try and do stand-up, and not be so successful, and it kills me,'” he said.

“I just want to grab you by the shirt and say, ‘You’re not supposed to do well for the first five years’.”
The documentary previously debuted at the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival and was filmed when they were in their twenties.

It comes after Ray spoke about the quarantine period and living with his family during the pandemic.
He and wife Anna, 61 are parents to the twins and children Alexandra, 34, and Joseph, 26.
He told previously People: “It’s actually kind of enjoyable in fact. But they’re adults. I can’t sympathise enough with people who are quarantining with little children.”
The star is known for Everybody Loves Raymond, and won an Emmy for his performance back in 2002.
The show was loosely based on his life and also starred Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle.
He recently revealed he had surgery for a blockage before a heart attack after battling high cholesterol for years.
“I got kinda lucky that we found it before having a [widow-maker] heart attack,” he said on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast.
He said he would diet to keep on top of his health but said: “And I’d start cheating, cheating [on the diet] and that was the cycle.”
