‘I’m a semi-orphan’, Shah Rukh Khan draws parallels with Mufasa-The Lion King’s story
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently called himself a ‘semi-orphan’ as he mentioned that he is an outsider in the Hindi film industry. In a video posted by Walt Disney Studios India on Instagram on Friday, Shah Rukh Khan was seen talking about Mufasa: The Lion King, wherein he lent his voice to Mufasa.

The King Khan of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan in the video was saying, ‘If I was to not be humble and say, ‘Hann meri hi kahaani aisi hai’ (My story is also like this)’ then it could fit in. Technically speaking, anyone who doesn’t have parents is an orphan. I did lose my parents nearly in youth, so I’m a semi-orphan’.
Shah Rukh Khan says he is an outsider
He further added saying, ‘It’s the story of an outsider. No family of mine has been in the business of filmmaking. I came from Delhi to Mumbai, so main outsider bhi hoon (I’m an outsider as well). It’s the story of the King. So, yeah, I’m a king’.

The handsome actor of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan was seen speaking his heart out about Mufasa as he said, ‘I think it’s a very interesting story about sacrifice, friendship, and loyalty. There have been lots of emotions while I was dubbing the film. I thought, ‘What a nice person, what a great character. Kitna accha human being sher hai (what a nice human being lion)’.
Shah Rukh Khan has lent his voice to Mufasa in the Hindi version of the Disney’s upcoming film. Aryan Khan, his elder son has lent voice to Simba and AbRam, the younger son has lent his voice to young Mufasa. In the film, Sanjay Mishra has given his voice to Pumbaa, actor Shreyas Talpade has lent his voice to Timon, and actor Meiyang Chang has given his voice to Taka.
