India’s Tamanna Bharat wins Miss Asia Global 2024, dedicates the honour to her family [Exclusive]
India’s Tamanna Bharat was crowned as Miss Asia Global 2024 — at an event in Kerala. Tamanna’s journey to the crown was not easy but her grace, confidence, hard work and sheer talent helped her to grab the title. The way she won hearts with her answers at the pageant is worth an applause.
Tamanna has expressed her gratitude towards her mentors, family and supporters who helped her throughout the journey. In an exclusive interview with BollywoodLife.com, she opened up about her journey, future plans and more.
Tamanna said she felt proud as she represented India at Miss Asia Global 2024. “I feel great and grateful that I could do this. It was a big achievement. I didn’t expect it. I gave my best and got the result.”
The diva spilled beans on her journey from Miss Navi Mumbai to Miss Asia Global 2024. She said, “Miss Navi Mumbai was the start as I took my first step. I was very fresh and knew that I had to give my best and over there I won and that was also never unexpected. But that opened the door for lot of opportunities that I went for Miss Queen of India. It was like a national pageant and there I ended up as the first runner-up and got an opportunity to represent India at Miss Asia Global.”
Tamanna also spoke about her inspiration for the pageant — her parents and her grandparents. The stunner said, “When I won my first pageant, it was overwhelming to see my parents and my grandparents so proud and happy and that inspired me to give my best and move further in this field so that I could make them more happier.”
Tamanna says she looks up to Sushmita Sen. “She is the first woman to win Miss Universe for India. Sushmita is a wonderful woman and the way she speaks, her words and her wisdom really touch me. A part of my pageant was to listen to Sushmita Sen as the way she speaks inspires me,” she said.
Tamanna also spoke about her future plans and revealed if she would enter Bollywood. “I am not interested in acting and have not explored that field yet. I am more interested in modelling as I always wanted to be a model. I have just started so I plan on doing further work in the modelling industry.”
When asked if beauty pageants tend to stereotype women and beauty standards Tamanna stood by what she has achieved. She said, “There are very few platforms in the world that give women a chance to speak and a chance to hold the mic and talk about the things that they are passionate about. I don’t think there is any other platform that gives women an opportunity, so I feel instead of putting them in the box, pageants literally show the world that women are more than just beauty.”
We wish Tamanna all the luck for her future.
