Jessica Simpson divides fans with ‘cryptic’ post as she announces her return to music
Jessica Simpson has announced she’s set to return to music.
The singer and designer, who rose to fame in the late ’90s, shared a post with pictures of herself in a Nashville music room saying the “comeback is personal”.
But while many were excited about the prospect of new songs to add to their playlists, some interpreted the announcement very differently.

“Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic,” her post began.
“This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve 🎶 🎼,” she added.
The singer, 44, shared what some fans described as a “cryptic” post as she spoke about “putting up with everything I did not deserve”.

“Can’t wait for the new music Jess,” another added.
While Jessica has stayed silent on any speculation of a ‘split’, her sister Ashlee Simpson had an interesting response when asked about the rumours while out and about by TMZ.
“Is it true? Do you know?” she was asked, before quickly replying: “No.”
Jessica and husband Johnson, 45, have been married since July 2014 and recently celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary.
They are parents to three.
Before her marriage to the former NFL star, she was married to singer Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006.
“We connected on all levels,” Simpson said in her Memoir Open Book about her husband Johnson.
“We both were ready for the real deal.”
Simpson recently reflected on her first marriage to Lachey and said in her memoir: “We meant a lot to each other and we always will.”
“I want to be very respectful because I married him for a reason and we were together for seven years for a reason. He has a family now and I would never say anything to disrespect that.
“We were young and pioneering our way through reality television… We worked and we were great at it but when it came time to being alone, we weren’t great at it anymore.”
