Maggie Tabberer death: All of the celebrity tributes paid to Australian TV personality Maggie Tabberer including Amanda Tabberer, Chyka Keebaugh and Andrew Hornery

Tributes are pouring in for Australia’s first supermodel Maggie Tabberer.

The two-time Gold Logie winner and Australian TV icon has passed away at the age of 87.

Daughter Amanda Tabberer confirmed the news of her death in an Instagram post.

“This morning we lost our beautiful mother and Nanna,” she wrote. “She was an icon in every sense of the word and we will miss her dearly… Along with the rest of Australia. Rest in peace Nanna. We love you to bits forever.”

Leila McKinnon wrote under the post to honour Tabberer, “Beautiful Maggie, what a wonderful woman, vale to such a generous spirit, we loved her. Sending our love to you ❤️.”

Chyka Keebaugh added, “I am so sad to hear this awful news.. I always loved her style and love of everything…Sending all my love to you all….”

Fashion designer Jayson Brunsdon took to Instagram to write: “Farewell Maggie Tabberer. You were an inspiration.”

The former Australian Women’s Weekly Editor-In-Chief Deborah Thomas shared her tribute with 9honey.

“We’re all kind of in a state of shock because Maggie’s always been there,” Thomas, who first met Tabberer decades ago, shared.

“I mean, for me, she’s been there since I was 20 years old … so she’s been there for over 45 years in my life.

“And she’ll leave a big gap with many people. Everybody she met and everybody she touched loved Maggie and we’re all going to miss her greatly.”

“I always knew about Maggie because she was such a style icon on the television, in magazines and newspapers when I was growing up.”

Melissa Hoyer took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to pay her respects: “The loss of a pure class act.

“An extraordinary woman, my icon, my influence, a person with an innate sense of style (& humour) that money can’t buy,” the journalist wrote.

“Terrible to lose a legend & friend that is #MaggieTabberer. All love to daughters Amanda, Brooke & MT’s grandson Marco. 💔🙏🏻 RIP.”
