NFL ‘Thursday Night Football’ player props, picks, best bets

The Lions’ offensive weaponry is about as star-studded as it gets.

David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs are perhaps the best running back duo in the NFL

Few wide receivers can do everything Amon Ra St. Brown can and Jameson Williams is an excellent deep threat on the outside.

Although he’s having a down year, Sam LaPorta is widely regarded as one of the most talented tight ends in the league.

One much-less heralded player has added yet another dimension to Jared Goff and Ben Johnson’s arsenal this season after missing multiple seasons with devastating injuries: wide receiver Tim Patrick.

The 31-year-old Patrick, who suffered an ACL tear before the 2022 campaign and a torn Achilles before last season, is seemingly playing a bigger and bigger role for Detroit as the season goes on.

He has at least 26 receiving yards and three targets in each of his last three games, including 103 receiving yards over his last two contests.

But Patrick’s usage stretches back even further than that.

After getting no more than 12 receiving yards in his first two games with the Lions, he has Over 23.5 in six of his last nine appearances.

It appears Vegas hasn’t caught on to Patrick’s increased role in Detroit’s offensive attack, pegging his receiving yards Over/Under at 23.5 for Thursday’s NFC North battle with the Packers.

Oddsmakers are expecting a shootout as well – the 51.5-point total for Thursday’s contest is the highest of Week 14.
