Stephanie Collie death: Cillian Murphy pays tribute to Peaky Blinders costume designer after her sudden death aged 60
The Peaky Blinders cast and crew are mourning the loss of costume designer Stephanie Collie, who died at the age of 60.
Collie was born in England on November 16, 1963 and reportedly died on October 26, just weeks before her 61st birthday.
The sad news was shared on the Peaky Blinders official Instagram page, which praised her work on the hit series and sparked a flood of tributes from cast and fans alike.

‘’We were so saddened to learn of the passing of costume designer Stephanie Collie,” the statement on the Peaky Blinders Instagram page read.
“Stephanie’s incredible work in our first series was key to creating the iconic look of the Peaky Blinders, and has gone on to inspire so many people around the world.
“Our love and thoughts are with her family.”
Actor Cillian Murphy, 48, who stars as Tommy Shelby on the show, also shared a tribute to Collie.
“Stephanie was a ferocious talent. She invented the Peaky Blinders look and silhouette that has become iconic across the world,” he said in a statement.
“We will all miss her. RIP.”
It has been reported that the late designer was diagnosed with terminal cancer six months ago.

Collie was married to late Polish cinematographer Hubert Taczanowski for 17 years before he died in January 2024 after a cancer diagnosis.
Throughout her career, Collie worked on major films including The Hitman’s Bodyguard and London Has Fallen, and collaborated with big names like actor and filmmaker Kenneth Branagh.
