Tom Brady takes in Knicks-Mavs before calling Thanksgiving NFL game
Tom Brady was all smiles and shaking hands while sitting courtside for the Knicks-Mavericks contest in Dallas on Wednesday night.
The future Hall of Fame quarterback — who’s in the first year of a 10-year, $375 million deal as Fox Sports’ top NFL analyst — is in town to call his first Thanksgiving Day game as a broadcaster, with the Cowboys hosting the Giants on Thursday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
Brady, 47, shook hands with Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd while the former pros chatted courtside in the first quarter at American Airlines Center, as seen in videos on social media.
Brady appeared to take in Dallas’ eventual 129-114 win over the Knicks solo.
Earlier that day, the seven-time Super Bowl winner said he was “fired up” to call the Giants-Cowboys contest alongside play-by-play broadcaster Kevin Burkhardt.
The two worst teams in the NFC East will kickoff at 4:30 p.m.
Brady’s night out came after a report by Puck said his Fox bosses are coaching him up amid his rookie year in the booth.
Fox brass wants Brady to focus more on what he’s seeing on the field in his commentary as opposed to discussing intangibles, according to Puck.
Fox insiders are said to be confident that Brady will continue to improve.
Brady signed the monster deal with Fox Sports in May 2022. He took a year off in 2023 before making his broadcast debut this season.
Brady’s first holiday game with Fox means he’ll be away from his family on Thanksgiving.
His ex-wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, took their son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11, to Costa Rica with her jiu-jitsu instructor boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, for the holiday, according to Page Six.
“Tom is supportive and that’s the arrangement he and Gisele have agreed upon,” a source said.
Brady has another son, 17-year-old Jack, whom he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan.
Bündchen and Valente, who began dating in June 2023, are expecting their first child together.
The former Victoria’s Secret angel announced her pregnancy last month.
Brady and Bündchen called it quits on their 13-year marriage in October 2022.
