Tory Lanez Says His Only Regret Is Not Spending More Time with Kylie Jenner on the Night Megan Thee Stallion Was Shot
Tory Lanez has admitted that his only regret about that fateful 2020 night, which ultimately led to his imprisonment, is that he didn’t spend more time with Kylie Jenner.
The Canadian rapper, who is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the feet, appears on a new song with DDG called “Handling Business,” released on December 13th. Lanez’s verse, recorded over a jail phone call, sees him addressing his lengthy sentence, his experience in prison, and the incident that landed him behind bars.
“Only one thing I regret about that night is jumpin’ up outta that pool with Kylie,” he raps defiantly, echoing previous assertions that he was wrongly convicted.
The shooting occurred during a drunken dispute between Megan and Lanez after a party at Jenner’s Hollywood Hills mansion in July 2020. During the trial, Tory’s legal team suggested that the argument was sparked by Megan’s jealousy at seeing him cozy up to Jenner. Prosecutors presented a different theory, alleging that Megan’s insults about Tory’s musical abilities triggered the altercation. Megan, having since released two albums, continues to maintain her career trajectory despite the controversy. In contrast, Lanez continues to appeal his sentence and faces further scrutiny from lawsuits and claims of false information.
