Travis Hunter provides ‘insight’ into Deion Sanders’ future plans
Colorado football standout Travis Hunter is confident that Deion Sanders isn’t going anywhere.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s Heisman Trophy ceremony, where he’s a finalist, Hunter put rumors to rest, saying, “Coach Prime ain’t going nowhere.”
Sanders, now in his second year leading the Buffaloes, guided No. 20 Colorado to an impressive 9-3 record this season, securing their first bowl game appearance since 2020.
The team is set to face No. 17 BYU in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 28.
The NFL legend’s bold personality and coaching success have fueled speculation about his future, with some wondering if he might pursue opportunities at other programs.
Sanders, of course, has been discussed as a possibility for various jobs, including a potential jump to the NFL.
However, Sanders has consistently side-stepped the chatter, and Hunter’s statement only reinforces the notion that he’s committed to Colorado.
Sanders has rebounded following a high-profile 4-8 first season with the Buffaloes in 2023, leading the team to a five-win improvement in just his second shot at the FBS level.
