Yankees coaches in-demand around MLB, and there’s good reason
About 13 months ago, Brian Cashman exploded at reporters who probed about a season that, in the GM’s own words, was a “disaster.”
He understood fans’ frustrations after a miserable 2023 campaign that halted a six-year streak of reaching the postseason. He did not understand — and used strong language in calling out — criticisms of the organization’s processes and people.
“I think we’re pretty f–king good, personally,” Cashman said at the 2023 GM Meetings. “I’m proud of our people.”
He wasn’t wrong. What has been reinforced since is the trend that other clubs want Yankees people.
