Young Thug took a quick moment to thank his fans for holding him down during his tumultuous RICO trial.

During a recent YouTube interview, his lawyer, Keith Adams, received a FaceTime call from Thugger. While the “Ski” rapper was apparently trying to get information regarding matters surrounding his case, he addressed the support he’s received since his legal troubles began.
“I always loved it. It kept me going,” Thug said, reflecting on the fans’ dedication. He also kept it light, joking with Adams about wanting to get off probation before throwing up the peace sign to viewers.
This rare moment is one of the few times Thug has addressed the public since his legal battle began. Aside from sending a few questionable tweets seemingly aimed at Gunna, Thug has kept a mostly low profile. However, he has been spotted with T.I. and his girlfriend, Mariah the Scientist.
Thug was initially arrested alongside Gunna in May 2022. Gunna was the first to accept a plea, coming home in December of that year. Thug remained behind bars until he was released on October 31st, 2024. He took a plea deal to serve 15 years of probation. Thug must also stay away from his hometown of Atlanta for at least ten years unless he is there for work or court-ordered reasons. Other YSL members have also accepted plea agreements.
It’s unclear what Thug’s plans are regarding music, though it seems he is only focused on his freedom for now.
